When it comes to amazing applications, features and specifications, both iPhone and Android devices have ranked top 2 mobile devices on the market. Both the devices have built on a wonderful operating system, where each of their OS has their own importance.
The following are a few highlights of Android and iOS to make your job ease in deciding one of the best devices according to your preferences:
Operating system:
IOS developed by Apple was originally designed for iPhone but now it’s been used in iPhone, iPad, Apple TV’s and iPods. Apple is built based on a closed operating system design that supports multitasking, networking, video, graphics, security, animation and so on. However it is quite disappointing because it is an open operating system which doesn’t allow any other third parties to enhance or improve the existing applications or to develop true apps for an Apple device. This is a closed platform which can limit the input in certain cases. The iOS device also doesn’t support memory card slots.
When it comes to its counterpart, Android is an open operating system created by Google and its partners, the main advantage of this device is, it is completely an open source which means any number of people or companies can collaborate this operating system without paying any license fee. The obvious drawback of this OS could be all this arrangement can drive away lot of their time.
The following are a few features of Apple’s iOS:

The switching between multi-tasking is much faster than any other operating system.

The following are a few features of Android:

I’ve been a long time iOS user but I gotta say, I’m quite intrigued with Project Butter. I heard the new Android OS is very similar with iOS in terms of performance and smoothness. I guess I’ll know next year when I upgrade my iPhone into the Droid DNA
I’d prefer both. If you’re a little into taking things in your hand, tweaking a bit here, a bit there and then being in control of how your smartphone behaves, a good Android device like the Samsung Galaxy S 3 would be your ideal choice. But on the other hand, if you’re looking for a complete smartphone experience where you just get the best and not worry about tweaking things, the iPhone should be your choice.
I prefer Android Os.
